About IEEE PELS Student Branch Chapter – TKRCET The IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Student Branch Chapter at TKR College of Engineering & Technology (TKRCET) was officially approved on 2 June 2025, under the IEEE Member and Geographic Activities Board. This chapter is a specialized extension of the IEEE Student Branch (Code: STB60030787, School Code: 60226110) and functions within Region 10 (Asia-Pacific) and the Hyderabad Section.

Scope and Focus
The PELS Chapter is dedicated to advancing knowledge, research, and practical skills in:
- Power Electronics – conversion systems, semiconductor devices, and energy-efficient technologies.
- Renewable Energy Integration – solar, wind, hybrid power, and smart storage solutions.
- Electric Mobility – EV powertrains, charging systems, and advanced battery management.
- Smart Grids and Automation – modern power systems and intelligent control for sustainable energy.
Objectives
The IEEE PELS Student Chapter at TKRCET empowers students to:
- Strengthen technical competence through hands-on projects, workshops, and expert talks.
- Promote research and innovation in renewable energy and electric mobility.
- Build strong industry-academia collaboration for career readiness and applied learning.
- Enhance professional and leadership skills such as teamwork, project management, and entrepreneurship.
- Uphold ethical and social responsibility while striving for global recognition in IEEE activities.
