Dr. V. Krishna
Professor & Head
Head of the Department
The Department was established in the year 2020 with an intake of 60 currently it is 180. This department focuses on teaching students the skills and knowledge necessary to work with and analyze large amounts of data. This includes a combination of programming, statistics, and domain-specific knowledge, such as business or healthcare.
DEPARTMENT OF DATA SCIENCE
Students in a Data Science Engineering program typically start with a strong foundation in computer programming languages like Python, R, or Java, which are essential for data manipulation and analysis. They also study statistical concepts and methods, such as probability theory, regression analysis, and machine learning algorithms.
The Department headed by Dr. V. Krishna having 23 years of teaching experience. He completed his Doctoral degree from Rayalseema University, AP in 2019. With His rich experience in Teaching and Research Guiding the students towards best Data Science engineers in the Industry.

- PSO's
The Department endorses to inculcate academic practices that would transform nascent students into Data Scientists with ethical values who could address technical and social Challenges.
- To strengthen the students core competency with required rudimentary knowledge.
- To inculcate academic practices by developing projects using technology.
- To develop entrepreneurial skills, leadership qualities, ethical values and capability to work in a team among the students.
A student will be able to
- Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
- The Engineer and Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
- Environment and Sustain ability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
- Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
- Individual and Team Work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multi-disciplinary settings.
- Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
- Project Management and Finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multi-disciplinary environments.
- Life-long Learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.
- Graduates will be made competent to apply engineering fundamentals and Data Science Knowledge to develop solutions for complex engineering problems.
- Graduates will be able to create and apply resources and tools, including predictions to intricate engineering activities and synthesize information to provide valid conclusions.
- Graduates will be equipped with adequate technical knowledge, competency in soft skills and learning skills with appropriate considerations for public health safety, environmental sustainability and cultural and societal upliftment.
- Graduates will be enabled to use their innovative ideas , entrepreneurial skills managerial and financial skills for enhanced career growth.
PSO1: Apply the concepts and practical knowledge in data analytical process of computing systems and Statistical methods to multi-disciplinary problems.
