DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING was started in the year 2004 (INTAKE = 60) with an aim of imparting quality education in the field of Mechanical Engineering and bringing out efficient engineers. The department is efficiently functioning under the expert guidance of Prof. K. Sitaram, a distinguished academician credited with vast experience in teaching, research and industrial field. The department offers M.Tech in CAD/CAM.

The present intake of the Department is 120 (From the Academic year 2009-10). The Department is also running 2nd shift Diploma Course from the academic year 2009-10 with an intake of 60. Keeping in view of the demand in the fast growing world, it’s proposed to increase the existing intake of 2nd shift Diploma course in Mechanical from 60 to 120 from the next academic year.
